Our Research

Our interdisciplinary research program uses a wide range of approaches to tackle unanswered questions and advance the care and treatment of patients with NETs/NECs. Despite the many advances in NET over the past 10 years, many questions remain.

Our laboratory-based studies focus on understanding basic NET biology, the identification of novel therapeutic targets and cancer biomarkers, and the testing of new treatments in pre-clinical models. Our therapeutic clinical trials aim to assess the safety and activity of new treatments in NET patients.

By engaging patients in the process, we aim to take a holistic approach to NET research—integrating information from patient tumor and blood samples, clinical trials, surveys about symptoms and experiences across the disease continuum, and from tracking outcomes in NET patients after surgery and other therapies.
